People sometimes ask if “Plain Speak” means plain websites. It doesn't. The name is about how I communicate — no jargon, no tech-speak, no making things sound more complicated than they are. You should always know what you're paying for, what it does, and why it matters to your business. If any of that isn't clear, that's on me to fix.

Most of the people I work with have already had a crack at it themselves — tried a website builder, signed up for a few tools, maybe watched a dozen YouTube tutorials. They're not starting from scratch. They just need someone to look at what they've got and say “here's what actually matters, and here's what you can ignore.”
I didn't come into this from a big agency. I grew up around people who ran their own businesses — so I've seen the late nights, the juggling, and the “I'll figure out the website later” cycle up close. I've worked inside tech and SaaS companies, and I've spent the last few years properly learning how websites, software, and digital systems actually work — not just how to sell them.
I live in Scarborough in Perth's northern beaches, with my partner and our dog Cooper (he's in the photo — he insisted). I work with businesses all over Australia, but I like keeping things personal.
